Get outdoors and reconnect

With busy weekday schedules we find ourselves zipping by each other with hardly enough time to get a real answer to “how was your day today?” This is why we find it especially important to get outdoors at least once during the week to reconnect. Today was one of those days. We grabbed our water, snacks, and sneaks and headed out to trail. Kingston was thrilled to get a break from homework and sports. Quinn, on the other hand, was just in it for the snacks.

We learned so much about how Kindergarten went today. He played the bubblegum game at PE, learned the hand jive, and he taught us a new version of “head, shoulders, knees, and toes”.

We stopped to get hydrated and the kids devoured a few yummy CLIF Kid Zbars and Zfruit & Veggies. These are our “go to” snack when we’re on-the-go. They’re organic and packed with nutrients and vitamins that always gets them up and zooming again. After the kids felt fully energized we headed back out of the trail. Quinn requested her favorite song which led to us dancing and singing Uptown Funk all the way home.

When we put our busy schedules on hold for a moment and focus on adventuring and reconnecting we can learn so much about our days.

Pleased to be partnering with CLIF Kid on this project, but these opinions are my own.rw-05738rw-05747rw-05761rw-05792rw-05797rw-05851rw-05863rw-05873rw-05881rw-05913rw-05927rw-05957rw-05986rw-05992rw-05998rw-06004rw-06008rw-06024rw-06050
